25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee's husband and 2 helpers upon arrival. The licensee came back from outside within 15 minutes during the inspection, There were 12 children with 2 staff present. The children were napping upon LPA arrival. The facility was called " Muffinville School", The operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8:15AM to 6:0PM. The licensee rented the single family house and lived with her husband and her minor child. The house was inspected for health and safety hazards. It was a three story single family house. Day care areas were on the second floor including the living room, kitchen, the bathroom and the backyard on the ground level. Off-limit areas were entire upper level and the garage. The house was clean and orderly. Temperature and lighting were adequate. Facility had a fully charged 2A10BC, working telephone. & first aid supplies available in the house. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were not tested due to napping during the inspection. Per licensee, there is no pet, no firearms or no weapons in the home. Facility conducted fire drills at lease once every six months and was properly logged. There were plenty of variety of children's toys, tables, chairs and napping equipment that are available for children in the day care area and all appeared to be safe and age appropriate for children. If there were ill child, Licensee would separate them in the hallway while waiting for parent to pick them up. The facility has provided Breakfast, AM/PM snacks, and lunch to the children. The children's bathroom was clean. Toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children. The lower kitchen cabinets were latched and free of harmful objects. All the electrical outlets were covered. All sharp corners were covered.. Cots were used for napping. Per licensee, there were no children on special medication. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. There were plenty of the age-appropriate, ride-on toys, swing, play house, and play structure with underneath as soft cushioning, and children's outdoor furniture. Gates were installed at the stairway to prevent children accessing the off-limit area. All the required postings were posted. The licensee and her helper had current CPR/First Aid training available, they will expire in 2023. LPA reviewed the children's and staff files during the inspection. LPA also obtained a copy of the children's roster. Per Licensee, she has purchased liability insurance for her day care.
