25 | On 11/6/2023 at 8:55AM., Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Luis J. Gomez met with Licensee, Christine Labbe. Purpose of the inspection was explained and was for an Unannounced; Annual Random. Present was the licensee caring for 4 children. 2 children arrived during inspection (3 infant-age, 3 Preschool- age). Adults have criminal record clearances on file. Licensee’s home is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 level house. Days and hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 8:30AM- 4:00PM. Daycare areas: Living room (Playroom), Bathroom #1 Off Limit areas: Kitchen, Bedroom #1, Hallway and Entire Lower Level. LPA inspected home with licensee for health and safety hazards.
At 9:00AM., the following was observed: Facility was clean, orderly, with age-appropriate playthings available for the children. Floor/ground surfaces was clear of obstructions or potential hazards. Furniture, toys, and books inspected were in good repair. LPA observed several hangers, and cubbies for storage of children’s belongings. Playroom has child sized tables and chairs for seated activities. For scheduled napping services, LPA observed play pens, available for each infant in care. Per licensee, play pens are equipped with tight-fitting sheet.
LPA reminded licensee to ensure infant pacifiers are not attached to draw string, or cords inside play pen. Advisory Note: Technical Violation (LIC9102TV) was issued.
The off-limit areas have been made inaccessible with secured safety gates. Bathroom #1 was clean, with adequate supplies for hand washing. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicine, or other items which poses a danger, have been made inaccessible. Facility was the proper temperature, with ventilation and lighting. Home had functioning telephone service; smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector; and fire extinguisher: 3A:40:BC, fully charged in kitchen.
Home does not have any pools, fishponds, jacuzzi and bodies of water. Per licensee, she bring children to the local park (Holly Park), for outside play.
