Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Cowan, Schnell, and Kaur met Amory Donohue, for a random annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present, there are 10 children with 2 staff and the director. Facility is operating within the capacity and is in compliance with staff child ratio on this day. Facility operate day care from. Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

With Amory, LPAs inspected the facility indoors and outdoors. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water at the facility. Facility has smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fully charged fire extinguisher. All cleaning solutions, poisons, and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. Facility has age appropriate furniture for children. Furniture is steady and in good repair. Facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards. The toilet and hand washing facility is in working condition with proper sanitation in place. All storage containers for solid waste are have proper tight fitting lids. Facility has drinking water available for children indoors and outdoors. All the materials and surface accessible to the children appear clean and toxic free. Play yard is free of hazards. All play structures are steady, in good repair and free of any loose parts. The resilient material under the play structure is sand. Facility staff brings a pitcher of water for children with cups outside while children are outside.

LPA reviewed children's and staff's files this day.

LPA reminded licensee that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a child care facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662. Facility has records of staff immunization on file.

The following items were reviewed as part of today's inspection: Care and Supervision of the Children, Child Discipline Procedures, Emergency Evacuation Procedures (smoke and carbon monoxide detectors present and in working order), Medication Policies, Isolation of Sick Children, Napping Requirements, Food Service (Parents provide all food for children), Transportation (facility does not provide transportation), Parents Rights, and Reporting Requirements. Posting requirements for site visits were also discussed as well as AB 633 requirements. Current forms and Title 22 Regulations can be obtained through the internet at www.ccld.ca.gov. Staff immunization are on file. Director was reminded that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a child care facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662. Influenza Declarations were also reviewed.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm. Per Amory, she will email to our office her IMS Policy. LPA review AB 1207 with the Licensee. As of January 1, 2018, all staff is required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. Facility has staff complete the training and is in compliance.

LPA encourages the program director to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. No deficiencies are cited today. The copy of this report is reviewed and provided to the program director. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.



Licensee is submitting their IMS for review. There were no Title 22 Deficiencies cited today. Notice of site visit will be posted and remain posted for 30 days.
