1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Faye Bremer and Glenn Schnell conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection regarding facility increase in capacity and additional rooms built. Application was received requesting capacity increase from 150 to 180 all ambulatory Preschool children. LPAs met with Simona Chongo and explained purpose of inspection. LPAs toured the physical plant and observed minor construction work being conducted throughout the property. Preschool teachers were also on-site, cleaning and preparing classrooms for the new school year, which begins on August 26, 2019. According to Administrator SImona Chongo, all work is anticipated to be completed prior to the first day of school. Construction was completed for new preschool classrooms, Rooms 1, Room 2 and Room 8. Previously licensed Rooms 1 and 2 were torn down, and temporary classroom Room 8 was removed. No changes were made to Preschool Rooms 3-7, or to the outdoor play space. No children were present during today's inspection. LPAs measured newly constructed preschool indoor space for Rooms 1, 2, and 8. Room 1 has a total of 1234.773 square feet. Room 2 has a total of 1163.590 square feet. Room 8 has a total of 695.799 square feet. Rooms 1, 2 and 8 have a total of 3094.162 square feet. Based on original measurements taken upon licensure, indoor space for preexisting Preschool classrooms, Rooms 3-7, have a total of 3867.45 square feet. Square footage for all Preschool rooms combined is a total of 6961.612 square feet, which divided by 35 sq ft per child, can accommodate 198 children. Based on original measurements taken upon licensure, outdoor space has a total of 6177.99 square feet, divided by 75 sq ft per child, can accommodate 81 children. Newly constructed Preschool rooms have a total of 12 sinks and 8 toilets available. Preexisting classrooms have 24 sinks and 9 toilets. Total number of sinks available to children are 36, and 17 toilets. Based on the number of sinks and toilets available (1 toilet and 1 sink per 15 children) the maximum capacity allowed is 255. According to Administrator Simona Chongo, based on the outdoor play space capacity, a new waiver request for staggered outdoor play time will be submitted to CCL before August 26, 2019 for review. Updated Emergency Plan shall also be submitted to CCL.

Adequate storage space for children's belongings, as well as adequate furniture, cots, toys and equipment were available to meet the needs of the children.

A fire safety inspection report was received in office on August 15, 2019, giving approval for a maximum capacity of 180 children, ambulatory only.

LPAs approve new Preschool classrooms, Rooms 1, 2, and 8, and the capacity increase to 180 children, effective August 16, 2019.

No Deficiencies cited on today's inspection.
