25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van met with the Director, Annabella Tong, for an unannounced inspection of the Plan of Correction (POC). The purpose of the inspection was explained and was granted entry to the facility by the Director. Present, there are 68 children supervised by 14 teachers.
On 11/20/2019 annual inspection that was conducted by LPAs Bremer and Ly, the following three deficiencies were cited; The first deficiency was a Type A, LPAs Bremer, and Ly observed electrical cords, surge protectors, extension cords, and power strips were exposed and within reach of children in classrooms, and adjacent to water sources. The second and third deficiencies were Type B, LPAs Bremer, and Ly observed shelf wall holding heavy items in the hallway was bending and the wood supports are splitting, and space heaters were stored in classrooms within reach of children. In today's POC inspection, LPA found that surge protectors, power trips and extension cords had a cover on them. The facility had removed the bending/splitting woods and replaced with the entire new shelves. All space heaters are in the storage room and are inaccessible to children. All deficiencies that were cited on 11/20/2019 are cleared today.
An exit interview was conducted with the licensee. A consultation was provided. No deficiencies are cited today. A copy of this report is reviewed and presented to the licensee. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for the next 30 days. |
