On April 11, 2022 at 9:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with health and safety director, Aamena Alloo and explained the purpose of the inspection. Center director, Jenaline Cayago, previously notified department of temporary absence from facility. Health and safety director is designated with facility responsibility.

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm. At the start of the inspection, 14 enrolled infants and 8 staff members (including health and safety director) were present. Facility is operating within child to teacher ratio on this date.

With health and safety director, LPA inspected entire facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. Facility is a single level facility that includes 2 classrooms; Chipmunks (infants) and Squirrels (toddlers). LPA observed both classrooms to be clean, equipped with age appropriate toys, materials, and furniture. Storage for children's belongings are located inside each classroom, labeled with each child's individual names. Changing tables are within arm's reach of adult sinks.

LPA observed facility has an installation of a fire alarm system throughout the building. Fire alarm detectors are dual carbon monoxide detectors. Facility has multiple fully charged fire extinguishers and emergency backpacks. Emergency backpacks include fully stocked first aid kits, emergency contact information and diapers and wipes if needed. Medication is stored appropriately, inaccessible to enrolled children and maintained with proper documentation. All poisons, cleaning solutions and hazardous materials are stored inaccessible to children in off limit areas or facility's high shelves. LPA observed bathrooms utilized by children to be clean and in proper working condition.

Facility currently provides a food service that only includes morning and afternoon snacks. Lunch is provided by enrolled children's authorized representatives. LPA observed kitchen and food prep areas to be clean and orderly. Children's individual containers are properly labeled with child's names and date of when item was stored at center. All food is stored and prepared properly to avoid contamination. Water is available to children indoors and outdoors with children's water bottles, labeled with child's individual names.
