25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yee conducted an Annual inspection today. The purpose of the visit was explained. Present at the facility are licensee, Tao, her husband, one staff and 9 children (4 infants). Total children enrolled are 10 children. The facility personnel summary report was reviewed with Tao and she said it's correct. Current residents are Tao, her husband and their son.
Daycare areas are (lower level): living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom #2 (licensee's room) for napping only, and lower level deck. The remaining areas are off limit. The licensee CPR, 1ST AID is current until 08/05/2025.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. Fire extinguisher is size 2A10BC. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide is available. There are no bodies of water such as swimming pool and/or hot tub in the home. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemical, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective locks in place making all sharp objects or toxic house hold items inaccessible to children. First aid supplies are available for children. Disciplinary policy was discussed with Licensee today. Home has age appropriate toys and equipment available for the children in care. The facility provides meals. Last fire drills was conducted on 10-16-23.
LPA discussed the Mandated Reporter Training, AB1207 that was effective on 1/1/2018. All staff must take the training and keep the certificate on file. The training needs to be renewed once every 2 years.
