25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Gita Singh and 2 helpers who were the licensee's relative. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to her. All adults had fingerprint clearance in the house. There were 9 children that included 2 infants napping upon LPA's arrival. The licensee owned the 2 stories single family house. The licensee lived in the house with her husband and her 2 children who were minor. The daycare areas were located on the ground level. The entrance of the daycare was from the right side gate that had a door bell installed. The facility was called "LITTLE ANGELS DAYCARE and the operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. Day care areas were the lower level—bedroom #3 (aka Classroom #1), living room #2 (aka Classroom #2), bathroom #3 that was adjacent in classroom #1 and backyard area. Off limit areas were the entire upper level of home—bedrooms #1 and #2, bathroom #1 and #2, living room #1, dining room, sun room, kitchen and garage. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. The licensee made the toxins and harmful objects inaccessible to the daycare children. There were some age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair. There were a fully charge 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working cellular phone, working 2 in 1 smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and first aid supplies available in the daycare. The lower sink cabinets and drawers in the food preparation area were latched. The licensee installed the soft cushioning and carpet to the daycare floor to prevent injury. The licensee covered all the electrical outlets in the daycare areas. There were some cubbies available for the children to store their personal belongings in the classrooms. The licensee installed gates between classroom #1 & #2, and the entrance of the food preparation area. The licensee provided breakfast, AM/PM snacks and lunch to the daycare children. Play pens and Cribs were used for napping. The children's bathroom was clean and free of harmful objects. The outdoor play area was completely fenced. There were a big play structure with swing and slide and had the rubber chips underneath as the soft cushioning. The licensee also installed the fake grass on the other side of the play area to prevent injury. Per licensee, she had no pets, guns and weapons in the house. Per licensee, there were no children on special medication. The licensee posted all the required postings. The licensee also subscribed a Family Child Care Home Insurance that will expire in 1/2024. LPA obtained a copy of the current children roster from the licensee during the inspection. The facility conducted the disaster drill at least 2 times a year and logged properly. LPA discussed the Safe Sleep Regulations and 15 minutes nap check with the licensee during the inspection.
