Licensing Program Analysts, Luis J. Gomez met with Director’s Lauren Dahia and Jenny Hobson. The purpose of the visit was explained and was for an annual inspection. Infant Program operates 7 classrooms (4 toddler, 3 infant): Toddler 1, Toddler 2, Toddler 3 and Toddler 4 with children ages ranging from 12- 24 months. Infant 1, Infant 2, Infant 3 with children ages ranging from 0- 12 months. Facility hours of operation is Monday- Friday, 7:00am- 6:00pm. Present are Director’s and 12 Staff supervising 46 Infant children. Facility was inspected indoors and outdoors for health and safety hazards. For the infants, the facility has cribs available for sleeping. LPA Gomez observed sleep sacks are used for the children. All classroom are equipped with a changing station and working sink within arms distance. The toddler classrooms have working, child size toilets (2) and sinks (2) available for the children. Restrooms are maintained clean, in good repair, and with adequate supplies. Staff use a separate restroom located in the hallway. All classrooms have age appropriate toys and equipment that are in good repair. Classroom has acceptable ventilation and ample lighting. Children’s bottle and cups are properly labeled. Each classroom is equipped with a smoke and carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. First Aid Kit and Emergency supplies are properly maintained and kept inaccessible to children. All cleaning products and Toxins are inaccessible to the children and are in an off limit area. LPA Gomez inspected outdoor area for health and safety hazards. Program uses 2 separate Playgrounds equipped with Play structures for the children. LPA Gomez observed outdoor play area is free of debris and dangerous conditions. All outdoor toys and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. All required Licensing information and forms is properly posted next to the main door. LPA Gomez reviewed personnel files, children’s files and facility roster during today’s inspection. LPA Gomez observed personnel files missing TB records for 3 employees. LPA Gomez observed children’s files and facility roster are complete and up-to-date.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was reminded that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a child care facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662.

Director was informed about the Provider Information Notices (PINs) on CCLD website.

>No deficiencies were issued today under Title 22 Division 12 of the Ca. Code of Regulations.

This report and a Notice of Site Visit are provided. Due to Technical Issues during the inspection, this report will be mailed to director and returned to licensing at a later date.

Original Signed copies will remain in the facility file at the childcare regional office.

>This report and rights to comment and appeal were discussed with Site Supervisor. This report must be available in the facility for public review. Notice of site inspection was posted.
