25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Cecile Kombrza. The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were 87 children with 13 staff. The facility is a combination center. It has Elementary School, Kindergarten, and Preschool in the same building. There is a security guard at the main entrance to provide the children and staff. The Elementary School and Kindergarten are located on the right side of building, and Preschool program is located on the left side of the building. The preschool program is run in 5 classrooms with 3 shared children's bathroom between each classroom. The total number of the toilets and sinks for the children are 7 and 10. There are the separate bathroom available for staff in the building. The preschool operation hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am to 3:30pm, and Friday is from 8am to 2:30pm. LPA toured and inspected the facility for health and safety hazard. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were either locked or made inaccessible to the children. There were plenty of the age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children furniture available for the children in each classroom. All electrical outlets were covered. All lower cabinets in each classroom were either locked or free of harmful objects. There was a water fountain available for the children in each classroom. Per Site director, there are no guns, no weapons, and no pets in the facility. Children bring their own snacks and lunches to the facility daily. First aid supplies were available in each classroom. The outdoor play area was completely fenced. There were plenty of age-appropriate outdoor toys, Sand area, play structure with soft cushioning underneath, and ride-on toys available for the children. There is a gate to separate the Preschool and Kindergarten area by Classroom #5. Hooks were available for the children to hang their own belonging outside each room, Per Site director, there were couple children on special medication. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services - IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children's, personnel, and administrative record.
