Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Farhan Bashir-Tariq conducted an announced case management inspection today and met with Director, Sirkia Yong. This inspection was conducted via Face Time due to COVID-19. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Facility is requesting for three new rooms to be incorporated into licensed day care area. Facility does not want to make any changes to their capacity at this point. No measurements were takes as part of this inspection and rooms were only inspected for health and safety hazards with Director.

Facility is a combination center with Elementary School, Kindergarten, and Preschool in the same building. The Elementary School and Kindergarten are located on the right side of building, and Preschool program is located on the left side of the building. Per Director, room # 6,#8 and #9 will be added to preschool site. LPA did not observe any health and safety hazards in the rooms. These three rooms have a similar layout with a door on both left and right side of the classroom. There is a sink available in each classroom with storage cabinets under and around the sink. All cabinets have been secured with built in locks. Facility was instructed to store chemicals or sharp objects in locked cabinets, inaccessible to children. Facility has a main building fire system and smoke detectors have been installed throughout the facility. A working carbon monoxide was available in every room. Hand washing posters for children need to be posted on all sinks in each classroom. During the inspection, LPA also helped with issued related to COVID-19. Posters for CVOID-19 and Social Distancing Practices should be posted in facility classrooms. Fire clearance has been received from San Francisco Fire Department.

As of today, August 18, 2020, Room #6, #8, and #9 are being incorporated into the daycare.
