25 | On September 23, 2022 at approximately 8:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Garcia arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with the Licensee, Zhou, Yan Hong. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present were 7 children and 2 helpers with the licensee. During the visit, another 2 children arrived at the facility. Licensee was operating in compliance to the required licensed capacity and ratio limits as of today. LPA verified the background check clearance of the adults working or living in the home. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Licensee provides AM snacks, and PM snacks and lunches are prepped and served at the facility.
Daycare areas: Upper level living room, dining room, and front yard.
Off Limit areas: The upper-level kitchen and office. The whole lower level: garage and master bedroom, bathroom. LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care.
LPA and Licensee inspected the entire childcare area for Health and Safety hazards. There was a carbon monoxide and smoke detector in the home. LPA performed the tests to check the functionality of the detector. A fully charged fire extinguisher of size FE2A10GR was also available in the home, located in the kitchen. First Aid kit is fully stocked and accessible. Per Licensee, there are no firearms or weapons and pets in the home. Licensee states, there are no bodies of water in the home.
LPA observed that the house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. LPA observed that there is a variety of age-appropriate toys, books, and other learning material available in the home for the children in care. There are worksheets and coloring materials for children to use. Electric outlets have been secured with child protective covers, and a working phone is on site. The outdoor play area consists of a barricaded area that is in good repair, with toy riding cars and structures with scooters and bikes.
