Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an random annual inspection today. LPA met the licensee, Yang Hong Zhou (Joanne) and a helper, and explained a purpose of the inspection. All adults had fingerprint clearance. There were 12 children including 2 infants present with a helper upon LPA's arrival. The facility was called " Joanne's Day Care" and the facility's operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. Per licensee request, the licensee's bedroom was added to the daycare area after LPA inspected the room for health and safety hazards. The licensee's room was clean and free of harmful objects. The licensee's bedroom was used for napping only. The daycare area was the entire upper level and licensee's bedroom (Napping only) and front yard. The off-limit areas were the kitchen on the upper level and the entire lower level. The facility was clean and in order. the temperature and lighting were adequate. The licensee made all the toxins and harmful objects inaccessible to the children. The licensee installed the soft cushioning to the entire day care areas to prevent injury.3 The children's bathroom was clean. The lower bathroom sink cabinet was latched. All electrical outlets and sharp corners were covered. Mats and play pens were used for napping. The licensee has provided breakfast, AM/PM Snacks, lunch, and dinner to the children. LPA reviewed and discussed the 15 minutes nap check log with the licensee during the inspection. LPA also provided a sample of the 15 minutes check log to the licensee during the inspection. LPA reviewed the children's files and obtained a copy of the current children's roster during the inspection. The licensee posted all the rquired documents. The licensee and helpers had current CPR/First Aid Training.
