25 | On 6/24/2022 at 8:35AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis J. Gomez met with Lead Teacher, Steven Corona. Purpose of the inspection was explained and was for an unannounced; annual random inspection. Present was three staff supervising 12 children. All children were properly signed in. Staff had their criminal record clearances on file. Preschool program utilizes one classroom and one outdoor play space: Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm. Program operates year-around. LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards.
At 8:50AM., the following was observed: classroom was clean, orderly, and with age-appropriate playthings available for the children. Floor and ground surfaces were free of obstructions. Children’s furniture and items inspected were in proper repair. Facility lobby has individual cubbies for storage of children's belongings. Classroom had child size tables and several chairs. For napping services, labeled cots were stored closet with each child’s name. Per staff, napping sheets are washed weekly. Children’s bathrooms were reviewed during inspection. Bathroom fixtures were in operating condition with adequate supplies available for the children.
LPA advised lead teacher to replace safety lock on bathroom storage cabinet. Staff bathroom is located separate. Classroom was the proper temperature, with ventilation, and lighting. Detergents, cleaning supplies, and all other toxins were made inaccessible. Outlets had been properly covered. Facility had functioning telephone service, smoke/ carbon monoxide detector combo, and fully charged fire extinguisher; 2A:10BC. First aid kit was review during inspection. (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.)
