25 | On September 15, 2022 at approximately 9:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Winnie Ly conducted an Unannounced Required - 1 Year Visit to this family child care home and met with Licensee Diana Kozhina. Purpose of visit was explained. Present during the visit were Licensee and two assistants caring for 11 children. All required posting documents are posted and visible upon entering the facility.
Day Care Areas are the ground floor consists of the large play room, small play room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and the front half of the back yard. Off-limit Areas are the garage on the ground floor, the entire second floor level and the back half of the backyard. Licensee’s CPR expires 02/2024. Licensee and Assistants have Completed Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training and proof of completed training certificates on on files. Required Immunization records for Licensee and Assistants such as Influenzas, Pertussis and Measles are on file.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. LPA also observed a 2A10BC Fire extinguisher, operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide. There are no Fireplace or bodies of water in the home. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemical, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective locks in place making all sharp objects or toxic house hold items inaccessible to children. First aid supplies are available for children. Facility conducts fire drills/earthquake drills on 08/22/2022 and was properly logged. Home has age appropriate toys and equipment available for the children in care.
LPA and licensee also toured the outdoor play area for Health and Safety Hazards. LPA observed outdoor equipment is in good condition, free from loose, sharp or pointed parts. Outdoor has shaded area and has age appropriate toys for the children.
At approximately 10:45am, LPA reviewed children's files. All children's files are up to date.
