25 | Licensing Program Analyst(LPA) Mok conducted an annual inspection today. LPA met with the owner, Angela Coo, Site Director, Hui Ru Huang (Vicky), and Site Site Director, Chun Hua Shu (Katherin). LPA explained the purpose of the visit to them. There were 34 children that include with 11 staff present. Facility uses both ground floor and the second floor for day care. The smaller infants are on the second floor and the toddlers are on the ground floor. Facility meets teacher/child ratio today. The operation hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. LPA toured and inspected for health and safety hazards. Cribs and mats were used for napping, Changing tables are available for children. There were two toilets and two sink on the second floor; the ground floor has two toilets and 5 sinks. Each child has a school bag to store their own belongings, and all bags are stored on the shelves in each classroom.. Separated staff bathrooms are available for staffs on site. Isolation areas for ill child will be the office and the hallway downstairs.. Facility is clean and orderly today. Temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were either locked or made inaccessible to the children. Gates were installed at the classroom entrance to prevent children access to the off-limit area. Per Vicky, all toys are washed every day with soap or bleach water. Blankets & bedding are washed at the center once a week or whenever it's needed. All parents bring their own formula and must be pre-mixed; parents bring the bottles home at the end of the day. Bottles and food containers in the refrigerator have labels with name and date. Facility had the outdoor space for infant and toddlers. The outdoor areas were completely fenced. There were play structure with soft cushioning underneath, and age-appropriate toys available for the children. Fire and Earthquake drills have been done 2 times a year. Children and staff files were reviewed today. At least one staff had current CPR/FIrst AId training certificates. will epire on 6/23/2023. There were no children on special medication. All staff have updated required immunization record in file. Site director completed the Mandated Reporter training already. All required postings were posted. Children files were reviewed.
