25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok, conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Kristina Gonzalez and 3 helpers, and explained the purpose of the inspection to her. All adults had fingerprint clearance. LPA observed 8 children that included 3 infants were napping with a helper who provided care and supervision in the main play room upon LPA's arrival. The licensee rented and lived with her husband in this 2 story single family house. The facility was called " Little Robles Bilingual Preschool". The facility's operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Per licensee, the facility accepted children who 13 months or older. She did not have any child 12 months or under in her daycare. The daycare areas was the entire lower level and backyard except a garage. The off-limit areas were the entire upper level and a garage. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. The facility made the toxins and harmful objects inaccessible to the children. The facility had a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working 2 in 1 smoke and carbon monoxide detector, working cellular phone, and first aid supplies available. LPA observed plenty of the age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair. The facility had right amount of cubbies with children's names available for the children to store their belongings by the main entrance. The facility had a small quiet room with cushions available for the children by the main entrance. The licensee installed the carpet to the entire floor as the soft cushioning in the main play room. All the electrical outlets were covered. There was a diaper changing table available by the children's bathroom entrance. The children's bathroom was clean and in order. All the lower bathroom sink cabinet was latched and drawers did not have any harmful items. There was a small room with children's furniture that were in good condition and repair next to the laundry area. The licensee used the room for the projects and eating purpose. The outdoor play area was completely fenced. The license installed a grass tarf into the partial play ground to prevent injury. There were plenty of the outdoor toys, play house, and water or sand tables available for children. Per Kristina, there was no guns, weapons or pets at home. The facility provided AM/PM snacks and water to the children only. The children brought their own meals to the facility daily. Cots were used for napping. Per Kristina, there was no children on special medication. The facility has conducted the disaster drill with the children 2 times a year and logged properly. LPA reviewed the children's and staff files, and obtained a copy of the current children's roster from the facility.
