On 4/14/2022 at 8:35A.M., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luis J. Gomez met with Licensee, Nancy Azar at the facility. Purpose of inspection was explained and was for Case Management inspection to review correction made to incorporate the toddler component to existing preschool license. Present during inspection was the licensee. Toddler option request was submitted to the Department on 2/10/2022. LPA Inspected facility, inside and outside, with licensee for health and safety hazards.

At 8:40A.M., the following was observed: Licensee has installed fencing to create physical separation between the toddler and preschool classrooms. Designated toddler area was free of potential hazards. Accessible toys and playthings were in good repair were age appropriate. Diaper changing table has been moved to an off-limit area.

On 3/3/2022, licensee submitted the following documents to CCL: Daily Activity Toddler Schedule, Updated LIC200A, Bathroom Plan and Outdoor Play Schedule for no commingling between programs.

On 3/24/2022, Fire Clearance approval was received by the department.

LPA reminded licensee that of the total licensed capacity (30 children), no more than 5 toddler age child may be present. Children enrolled in toddler component must remain separate from preschool children at all times. Licensee understands that the age range for the toddler option is 18 months to 3 years old and that authorized representatives must give written permission for their child to participate in the toddler option component.

LPA reminded licensee to ensure the toddler component remains within proper Teacher-Child ratio. (1:6)

During inspection, LPA discussed safe sleep regulations and PIN 20-24 CCP resource was provided.

On 4/14/2022, LPA will recommend licensure of preschool program to include a toddler option component.

Based on today’s inspection, no deficiencies were cited in areas evaluated according to Title 22, Code of Regulations.
