25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced case management inspection for capacity increase. LPA met with the licensee, Yin Yu Hui (Pyrena) and her helper who has fingerprint clearance. There were 5 children included 3 infants and 2 preschoolers present with a helper present. Licensee applied for Large Family Child Home on 5/28/19. Fire Clearance Approval was received by CCL on 7/29/19. Per licensee, she wants to move her daycare to the lower level, so the upper level is not used for the daycare anymore. The daycare areas are the entire lower level except a bedroom, and backyard. The daycare main entrance will be at the right-side gate. The off-limit areas are the entire upper level, bedroom on the lower level, and a garage. The daycare area was clean and in order. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazard. Temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were either locked or made inaccessible. There were a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, working telephone, and first aid supplies available in the daycare area. All the lower kitchen cabinets were latched. Children bathroom was clean and in order. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children furniture available. Decal was posted on the sliding door to prevent children run into it. Outdoor play area was clean and in order. There was a barricade around a tree to prevent children access to it. All sharp corners in the backyard were covered. All electrical outlets were covered. Boosters were available for feeding only. Cribs and mats were available for napping. Gate was installed at the stairway. Child proof knob was installed to the garage door and bathroom door to prevent children access to the off-limit area. As of today, the facility is licensed for Large Family Child Care Home.
