25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced inspection today. LPA met with a Site Director, TingKam Chak (Kathleen), and an owner, Miranda Pan. The purpose of the inspection was explained to them. There were 17 preschoolers, and 12 toddlers with 8 staff present. All adults had fingerprint clearance. The operation hours of the facility were Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The facility was granted a waiver to use the public park for the outdoor activities. The facility had the morning activity at the park every morning. The licensee has taken the children back to school after lunch for nap, and other activities before pick up. The facility also had a small yard in the back of the facility. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. All the toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children. The facility had some cubbies with children's pictures available for the children to store their personal belongings by the main entrance. The facility ran the preschool program with a Toddler option in a big classroom. The facility separated the areas for both programs by the shelves. The children's bathroom was shared with 2 programs by schedule. The children's bathroom had 3 toilets and 2 children size sinks plus one big sink available for the children in the facility. The facility had a separate Staff bathroom in the back of the classroom. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair. The facility had first aid supplies available. The facility has conducted the emergency drill 2 times a year. Cots were used for napping. The facility had provided lunch, and the children have brought their own snacks daily. The facility served drinking water in the water pitchers. The children have brought their own water bottle to school. The lower cabinets and drawers at the food preparation area were free of harmful objects. The outdoor play area was clean and free of harmful objects. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced There were no guns, no weapons, and no pets in the facility. All staff had current CPR/First Aid training that will expire in 8/2024, and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training. . LPA reviewed the children's and staff files during the inspection. The facility had all the required postings.
