25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pandora Huffman-Smith met with the applicant today for a relocation pre-licensing inspection. The facility has relocated from 900 North Point Street in San Francisco. The facility will operate Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The applicant is requesting a capacity of 75 children (12 toddlers, ages 18-36 months and 63 preschool, ages 2 to entry into first grade). The facility was inspected today for health and safety hazards and measured to calculate capacity.
Indoor: The facility will operate in 6 classrooms (rooms 1-6). Classroom #2 will be used for the toddlers and the remaining classrooms will be for the preschool program. The classrooms measured today are 2332 square feet allowing for a capacity of 66 children. There is another area in the facility that will be used for children that will be measured during a follow up inspection. The classrooms appear to be clean and all furnishing and equipment appear to be in good condition. There are is one bathroom for the preschool children with 5 toilets and 5 sinks. There is an additional bathroom with one toilet and one sink that will be used for the toddler program and another bathroom for staff.
Outdoor: The outdoor area is unavailable for inspection and measuring today and will be inspected during the follow up inspection.
The following is required prior to licensure:
- Fire clearance. The fire inspector is present on site during today's inspection and will be contacting LPA upon approval.
- A follow up inspection is required.
