25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok, conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Tianyan Chen (Ada) , and her helper(mother-in-law), All adults are fingerprinted, The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were 6 children included 3 infants with a helper present. The licensee rents an unit on the ground level with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, a kitchen with adjacent dining area, and backyard. The name of the faciltiy is called "DiDiDa Daycare". The operation hours Monday and Friday from 8am to 6:00pm. The daycare areas are the entire unit and backyard, except bedroom #2 (licensee's bedroom). LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazards. There were plenty of age appropriate toys, books, learning material, playhouse, and children's furniture available for children indoor. The furniture and equipment were in good condition. There were a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and first aid supplies available. The licensee installed the carpet and soft cushioning to the floor to prevent injury. A gate was installed at the entrance of the laundry and storage area. All electrical outlets were covered. All sharp corners were covered. All lower kitchen cabinets and drawers were free of harmful objects. Child proof knobs were installed to the stove and bedroom door to prevent children access to the off-limit areas. All toxin and harmful objects were made inaccessible to children. The temperature and lighting were adequate. Children's bathroom was clean. The lower bathroom cabinet was latched. Cots and play pens were used for napping. Couple boosters were available for feeding only. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. All the sharp corners were covered by soft cushioning to prevent injury. There were some outdoor toys, ride-on toys , and sandbox available for children outdoor. LPA didn't observe any harmful or dangerous object in the yard during the inspection. First Aid Kit and Emergency supplies were available stored in the bedroom #1 and made inaccessible to children. The licensee's CPR/FIrst Aid training certificate available for review during the inspection. The certificate will expire in 2/2022 The licensee's and her helper (Mother-in-law) Child Abuse Mandated Report Training certificates will be expired in 8/2023 and 12/2021. LPA also obtained a copy of the current children roster during the inspection. LPA reviewed some of the children files during the inspection. The facility had hand sanitizer, Thermometer, and disinfectant available in the daycare area to prevent COVID19. All required postings were posted.
