25 | On September 2, 2021 at 3:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo met with applicant/director, Susan Osterhoff, for a scheduled, pre-licensing inspection. This is a change of ownership application (Facility previously licensed #384002426). Facility is currently operating through change of ownership process. Applicant/director understands applicant’s liability responsibility during change of ownership process. The applicant is requesting a preschool license for 12 children (ages 2 to entry into first grade). The facility will operate Monday through Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm. The facility was inspected, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards and measured to calculate capacity.
Indoor: There is one classroom that will be used for the preschool program. Classroom #1 square footage was calculated for 415.6 sq. ft allowing for a capacity of 12 children. LPA observed indoor space for children to be clean and all furnishing, toys and equipment observed to be safe, age appropriate and in good condition. Sufficient store space for children’s personal belongings are located outside the classroom, labeled with each child’s name. Cots are to be utilized for napping children. Facility will provide sheets and blankets for napping children. Laundering and sanitization was discussed with applicant. Facility will launder sheets weekly or as needed. Classroom is equipped with a fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detector and professional fire alarm throughout the building. First Aid Kit and emergency supplies are located in the classroom, inaccessible to children. Garbage cans have tight fitting lids. The facility is adequately ventilated and free of insects and bugs. Cleaning products are stored in facility’s high cabinets, inaccessible to children.
