NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano met with Licensee, Gloria Morales and Director, Alicia Reyes. This inspection included a technical assistance inspection for COVID-19 guidance and support. The applicant is requesting 29 children (ages 2 years to entry into first grade). The facility will operate Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00pm, The facility was inspected today for health and safety hazards and measured to calculate capacity. INDOOR: There is one classroom (open-space) that will be used for the program and the following square footage was calculated to 1221.13. Total useable indoor square footage is 1221.13 sq ft divided by 35 sq ft equals 34 children exceeding the desired capacity of 29 children. The indoor space for children is observed by LPA, applicants are still in the process of remodeling, moving furnishings, toys and equipment for children and staff use. There is storage space for children's personal belongings and cots to be utilized for napping children. Parents will provide the blanket and sheets for their child. Bedding will sent home to be laundered weekly. Cots will be cleaned daily or more often if needed. Children will be signed in and out using BrightWheel Application. The indoor space is equipped with a fire extinguisher, fire alarm system, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Facility is not equipped with a kitchen area at this time. Applicants need touch-less garbage cans with tight-fitting lids, and a fully supplied first aid kit. The facility is adequately ventilated and free of insects and bugs. Parents will provide lunch and facility will provide snacks. For drinking water children will bring their own individual water cups to the facility each day, and staff will refill as needed. Cleaning products or other hazards will be stored separately. Medications will be stored in the staff room area inaccessible to the children; there will be a refrigerator for refrigerated medications. Isolation Area for an ill child will be located in the offices. There are 3 toilets (45 capacity) and 4 sinks (60 capacity) accessible for children's use. One bathroom is located by the entrance, and the other bathroom is located towards the back of the facility. Sinks accessible to children will not deliver hot water. Continued on Page 2...

OUTDOOR: There is no outdoor area in facility. Facility will apply for Outside Waiver to use local parks in the neighborhood.

The following items were reviewed as part of today's visit: Record keeping for staff, children and facility records, Care and Supervision of the Children, Child Discipline Procedures- staff will use positive reinforcement and redirection, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Medication Policies, Isolation of Sick Children, Napping Requirements, Food Service, Transportation-none provided, Parents Rights, and Reporting Requirements. Required postings were observed during today's inspection. Facility will conduct disaster drills every 6 months and a log will be maintained for review upon request.

The requirement for Lead Water Testing was discussed (H&S Code 1597.16). Information was provided to applicants during today's inspection. The requirement for testing must be met by January 2023.

This facility will provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed COVID-19 required postings, reviewed COVID-19 protocols and discussed any additional COVID-19 resources with applicants.
