Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwin Tjhia and Staff Service Manager 1 (SSM1) Katie Deaser met with facility representative, Delaney Pamplin for the purpose of an unannounced Annual inspection. Facility days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Facility provides morning and afternoon snack. There were 4 children present during today's inspection.

All staff present during today's inspection have a fingerprint clearance. The facility repsentative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA toured the facility inside and out. LPA reviewed staffing ratios, first aid supplies, furniture, equipment, fire drills and drinking water. LPA observed that hazardous items (disinfectants, cleaning solutions etc.) were inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed all required forms to be posted. LPA observed functioning carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. There are adequate toys and equipment available for children. Outdoor play area was toured, the play structure appeared to be in good repair, and there is sufficient cushioning (sand) under the play structure. LPA reviewed the sign in/out book and observed that the children are properly signed in/out.

LPA reviewed children’s and staff files. LPA observed health screening reports with TB test and required MMR and TDAP vaccines. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid (exp. 2026). LPA observed AB1207 Mandated Reporter training certificates for all staff. The facility representative was reminded to renew the course every 2 years through www.mandatedreporterca.com website.

The Facility does not provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS). The policy was discussed. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed the representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

The representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

An Exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the facility representative. LPA posted a notice of site visit. Facility representative understands the Notice must remain posted for 30 days and that a failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Appeal Rights were provided. A copy of this report will remain on file for a period of three years for public review upon request. The representativer’s signature on this form acknowledges receipt of this form.

In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were cited during the inspection.
