32 | Staff and children's records were reviewed in classrooms. Files reviewed contained an emergency card and consent for medical treatment. At least one staff member present in each of the classrooms has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, Teacher Scroggins (Exp. 06/2024 ) & Teacher Richard (Exp.07/2025 ). All staff are currently employed through the District and have a criminal record clearance, mandated reporter certificates, and documentation of the educational background, training, and/or experience. LPA observed health screening reports with TB test and required MMR and TDAP vaccines for staff members. Staff are required to renew Mandated Reporter training every 2 years, training is available through the www.mandatedreporterca.com website.
Meals are provided by the SUSD school district and served to the children in the classroom.
LPA reviewed storage of medication, and child personnel records. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers, sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with Lead Teacher Taunia Scroggins. A notice of site visit was posted by LPA in both classrooms and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
LPA informed Teacher Scroggins, that this report dated 11/2/23, documents a Type-B deficiency, which was cited on a subsequent 809-D page. |
