25 | On Friday, March 16, 2022 at 12;20 pm Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Elvira Sierra met with Director Leeann Wilson for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. Director was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license. Census included 15 infants and 7 staff members. Facility operates in classrooms #1, # 2, and # 3 Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 05:30 pm.
LPA toured all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, food service, and outdoor play areas. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and play equipment are age appropriate and are in good repair. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. Infant changing station have a padded surface and is covered with washable vinyl. The food preparation space is free of litter and all food is appropriately stored. Storage containers for solid waste and diaper disposal have tight-fitting covers. Program provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of any dangerous condition. Director stated all infants enrolled are in solid food and do not have any children under 14 months enrolled currently. Menus were posted and drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors via igloo coolers and disposable cups. LPA observed parents are signing in/out properly.
At 12:30 pm 7 staff and 2 children's records were reviewed. Children records that were reviewed are complete and current according to Title 22and the Health and Safety code regulations. Personnel records are maintained, and records contained the required information including documentation of the educational background and/or training specified in licensing regulations.
LPA informed Director of the written directives for lead testing of water in licensed child care facilities per AB 2370. LPA provided a copy of PIN 21-21-CCP.
