Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Christopher Jackson met with licensee Erica Perez for an annual/random inspection. The census was eight children in attendance during today's inspection. Also present was licensees mother. The program operates on the second floor of the home in the mother-in-law unit located off the master bedroom. LPA toured areas of the two story home accessible to the children in care. Off-limit areas are: laundry room and garage. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. Licensee stated there are no new residents in the home, and all adult residents have criminal record clearances. The facility's hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.

There is an in ground pool on the property in the back yard. It is surrounded by a 5-ft. high mesh fence that surrounds the pool area. The fence ensures there are no openings or windows that directly access the pool area. During today's inspection LPA tested the pool fence and observed the gate to self-close and self-latch.

During today's inspection LPA did not bserve a CPR/First Aid certificate, LPA observed that it had expired on 06/27/19. LPA observed posted License, Parents' Rights Poster and Emergency Disaster Plan. LPA observed hazardous items properly stored out of children's reach. Fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detector meet regulation. LPA observed fire drills are conducted and documented at least once every six months. Toys appear to be safe and in working order.

LPA discussed with licensee about the following licensing requirements, including SB 277 (no longer accepting religious beliefs for immunization's) and SB 792 pertaining to immunization requirements for children and staff. Licensee provided proof of immunization during today's inspection.
