Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Charlotte Baney is conducting a tele-inspection to close a complaint investigation regarding the above allegation. In lieu of Directors signature, LPA Baney is emailing the report with a read receipt request.
It was alleged that staff left day-care child unattended. During the investigation, LPA Baney conducted interviews, and obtained information pertaining to allegation. During the interviews it was explained that a group of children was being supervised by two staff on the playground. Staff #1 was sitting on the ground tying a child’s shoe behind a play structure. Staff #2 was standing on the side of the building. When the child’s parent walked up to the playground the parent was unable to see the staff, being Staff #1 sitting on the ground behind the play structure tying a child’s shoe. However, Staff #1 stated they saw the child running to their parent and at that time Staff #1 called out Staff #2 to go get the child because they were busy doing another task.
