Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amie Randa met with Director Christina Hine for a Case Management Inspection for a capacity increase and to add a toddler component on the existing preschool license. LPA toured the facility today's census was 27 preschool aged children being supervised by four staff members who have all obtained a Criminal Record Clearance through Community Care Licensing.

The facility has requested an increase of capacity from 36 to 40; including a toddler component for six children to serve children 18 through 36 months. LPA has received the required fire clearance for the new capacity of 40 children. Director stated she understands that children who participate in the toddler program must have written permission from the child's authorized representative. No child in the toddler program shall be placed in the preschool program before the age of 30 months without written permission from the child's authorized representative. In addition, the toddler program shall be conducted in areas physically separate from those used by the preschool program. Director will use classroom #1 for the toddlers.

The facility removed two wall and moved the Director's office to create more square footage. LPA measured the four room; with a total of 1,589 square feet to accommodate the requested capacity of 40 children. There are three toilets and three sinks; Director will designate the bathroom on the right for the toddlers. There is a separate staff restroom. Children who become ill during the day will be isolated in the office and will use the staff restroom if necessary.

The outdoor play area is fenced and is equipped with age-appropriate equipment.
Bark is spread across the playground; however the facility is going to add artificial grass by the last week of June. In addition to the facility adding a fence to divide the two programs. There are two shaded areas and water will be provided via jugs and cups.
