Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Mary Ponce and Marissa Soto met with director Heather Campbell for a Case Management- Licensee initiated inspection. The purpose of Today's inspection is to add a classroom which was already present at the preschool; however was being used for the transitional kindergarten class associated with the charter school. During the inspection, LPAs toured all areas accessible to children, and measured the classroom.
Indoor activity space:
LPAs observed two bathrooms with one sink and one toilet in each allowing for 30 children. LPAs also observed a sink in the classroom by the entrance door. LPAs observed 33 chairs and two benches which will accommodate 3 children in each, giving seating to 39 children. LPAs also observed 5 tables. The classroom has multiple areas including: dramatic play, science, art, reading, sensory, and manipulative. The classroom was measured at 1,813.2772 square feet which will allow for 51 children. The director stated that the maximum capacity for the classroom will be 30 children based on toilets and sinks. The facility is not changing their capacity. Drinking water will be made accessible to children via a Brita water container and disposable cups. LPAs observed trash cans with lids to allow for solid waste.
