25 | On Thursday October 21, 2021, at 09:25 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra met with license's assistant, Michelle Parado for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. Licensee arrived later during the inspection. Facility hours of operation are 7 days a week from 06:00 am to 11:30 pm. Capacity specified on the license was met on today’s inspection. Upon arrival present in the facility was Licensee's assistant caring for 2 daycare children..
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off limit areas are:Two downstairs bedrooms, laundry room, entire upstairs, and garage. LPA reminded Licensee that Emergency Disaster Plan, Earthquake Preparedness Checklist and Notification of Parent Rights must be posted in a visible area to parents and/or visitors during daycare hours. Facility maintains a working phone, and functioning smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. Per Licensee there are no weapons in the home. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Fireplace is barricaded. Outdoor play space is fenced for supervision and is free from any dangerous conditions.
Children's files were not available for review. Current in person EMSA CPR and First Aid certification was verified for staff and Licensee. Licensee's CPR expires on 03/14/2022. Fire drills are conducted at least every six months.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
