25 | Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christopher Jackson is conducting a tele-video inspection via FaceTime with the Applicant Shanice Rial. The purpose of today's inspection is to conduct a change of capacity inspection. Licensee has applied for a large family home day-care. All adult individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance and are cleared through the department.
During the FaceTime inspection, LPA Jackson requested to tour the facility. LPA and Applicant toured the single-story home which consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, family room, dining room, kitchen, garage and backyard. LPA observed the garage space is utilized as an activity room for the family home day care. During the inspection, LPA observed the garage area is equipped with fire alarm pull station. I addition LPA observed a dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher meeting Title 22 regulations. LPA discussed off limit areas with applicant. Applicant stated the off limit area will consist of the master bedroom. The applicant understands that children are not allowed access to off limit areas. LPA observed three children in care during today's inspection. LPA observed no bodies of water on the property. Toxins and dangerous items were found inaccessible. Applicant stated no weapons in the home. LPA observed applicant’s CPR/First Aid certification expires 04/20/21. The department received the fire clearance on 06/08/2020 from the Stockton Fire Department clearing the home for a large Family Child Care.
LPA provided the licensing website, www.ccld.ca.gov, so applicant may download forms, or review regulations.
Effective today, 06/08/2020, LPA is granting a large family child care license to serve 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more than 4 infants or capacity of 14 children when 1 child in kindergarten or elementary school and 1 child at least age 6 and a maximum of 3 infants. Infants are children under the age of 2 years old. |
