LPA met with Liz Richardson, Director of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPAs, in the company of Director, toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The center operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday. The preschool uses six classrooms for child care. There is a Toddler Option at the CCC. LPAs observed 65 children on site during the inspection along with 15 teachers (cleared and associated) providing care and supervision.
Required Licensing forms and documents are observed posted at the office of the CCC. Sign In/Out forms were reviewed and found to be completed appropriately with children's arrival and departure times as well as the signature of parents/ authorized representatives. The classrooms of the CCC are clean and organized. The classrooms have age-appropriate toys and furnishings available for children in care. The CCC has carbon monoxide detectors throughout the facility. A carbon monoxide detector in Room 8 was tested at 9:35 AM and found to be operable. The attached bathroom in each classroom is observed to be in safe and sanitary operating condition. LPAs observed an operable refrigerator in the CCC's office. The CCC provides snacks for children in care while lunches are provided by parents. In each classroom, disinfectants, cleaning solutions, sharps and medications are secured in elevated cabinets and inaccessible to children. There is available drinking water for children both inside the classroom and outside in the play area.
