NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On March 11, 2020, at 8:30 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with a fully qualified teacher, Alesha Johnson. There were 8 children present when LPA arrived. At 8:50 AM Director Laura Viger and Shirley Albrecht arrived at the day care. At around that time, 6 additional children were dropped off. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and were granted entry into the facility by the teacher. There were 14 children, 3 staff were present during the inspection. Director accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. LPA observed age appropriate toys, books furniture and equipment in the indoor activity area. Drinking fountain supplies drinking water in the indoor activity space. Playground is enclosed by an appropriate fence. Outdoor activity area is supplied with age and size appropriate equipment. An adequate amount of rubber bark cushioning material is in place under play equipment. Adequate shade is provided. Drinking water is provided in the outdoor play are by a water jug and paper cups. Food preparation area is equipped with refrigerator, sink with hot and cold running water. LPA observed Licensing requirements are posted in the lobby of the center. Children's bathroom is clean and free of toxin. At 9:41 am, Director tested carbon monoxide detector located in the playroom and smoke detector located in a classroom and found functional. LPA reviewed staff files, Staff present have obtained criminal record clearance. Director Albrecth's CPR First Aid expires June 30, 2020. Staff took AB1207 Mandated Reporter,
Director was reminded that AB1207 should be renewed every two years.
Staff have complete record of immunization. Sign in /Sign out was reviewed and meet the regulation requirements. Children's files were randomly reviewed and found complete. Effects of Lead Exposure was discussed.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. There were no deficiencies cited at this time.
