25 | On December 6, 2022 at 1:46 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Required Case Management - Annual Continuation inspection. LPA met with Director Mercedes Petway and advised her the purpose of the inspection. LPA was provided a tour of the facility inside and out. There was seven (7) children in care at the time of the inspection. Facility has a preschool component.
LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. The center has one (1) classroom available for use. LPA observed an updated snack/breakfast menu mounted on the wall. The facility provides breakfast and two (2) daily snacks for children in care. Children bring their own lunch from home if they are at the facility for a full day. LPA observed the facility has enough restrooms available for the children. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children in care. LPA observed each classroom had age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. The outdoor playground has an ample amount of space and shade for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. The facility has water available for children inside and out. Children use their own personal water bottles from home if they have them. Facility has two (2) water fountains installed serviced by a local vendor. LPA spoke with Director about lead testing requirements and provided the required documentation.
A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA observed children's files to be complete and current. LPA observed staff files to be complete and current. Teachers meet the required qualifications. Teachers are current with Mandated Reporter and facility meets requirements for Pediatric CPR/First-aid. Facility is following current Covid-19 requirements.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. |
