25 | On June 17, 2022 at 12:08 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Licensee Joella Dace and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home inside and out. There were nine (9) children in care and one (1) assistant at the time of the inspection.
Licensee has a tri-level home. The licensee uses the living room, one (1) bedroom, one (1) bathroom, and the front yard for children in care. LPA observed a fireplace in the living room with a screen preventing children from having access. A current 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed mounted in the bedroom. LPA reminded licensee that the fire extinguisher must be serviced or a new one purchased annually. Licensee has working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPA did not observe hazards/toxins accessible to children in care. LPA observed age appropriate toys, books, and furniture readily accessible for children in care. Children are provided cots to sleep on during quiet time if they choose to sleep. The front yard is enclosed with a fence. Licensee has age appropriate toys and play structures readily accessible for children in care when they are outside playing. Children have access to water inside and out. Children bring there own water bottle from home. Licensee advised they do not have firearms or live ammunition in the home.
LPA reviewed a sampling of children records. The children records were found to be current and complete. Facility staff met the requirements for Mandated Reporter and CPR/First-Aid. The last fire drill was completed on January 4, 2022. LPA spoke with licensee about current Covid-19 requirements. Licensee is following current guidelines. Licensee was provided a Carbon monoxide resource.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. |
