25 | A required inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) S. Mendoza-Ceja and M. Stewart who met with Debbie Gough. The center was toured inside and outside. The infant program operates, Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM. The classrooms were observed to be clean and orderly. The appropriate documents were posted for review. The last fire/emergency disaster plan was conducted on 04/08/2019. There is carbon monoxide detector in the center. LPA was advise there are no firearms, ammunition or bodies of water on the premises. LPAs did not observe any bodies of water on the premises. LPA reviewed the medication which is maintained in the office inaccessible to children. The first aid kit was inspected. The restrooms were observed to clean and changing tables within arms reach of a sink. The outside playground was observed to be maintained and age appropriate. A random review was conducted of children's records and the sign in/out sheets to ensure legal signature is used. Staff records were reviewed. There is one staff current with CPR and First Aid. CPR and First Aid training is scheduled for 06/22/2019. The handouts “A Child Care Provider’s Guide to Safe Sleep, Safe Sleep in Child Care, and Effects of Lead Exposure" were reviewed. LPA reviewed the requirement for care providers/employees, including volunteers to obtain immunization against Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles. LPA reminded, each employee and volunteer shall receive an influenza vaccination between August 1 and December 1 of each year or obtain a sign statement declining the influenza vaccination. Also reviewed were the completion of the AB 1207 Child Mandated Reporter Training for staff.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. No deficiency cited. LPA observed the Notice of Site Visit posted.
