25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced annual/random and met with Licensee, Ms. Mary Apodaca and assistant. There were 6 children present, 3 being infants. The entrance to day care is separate from the home. The back yard is completely fenced. LPA observed age appropriate toys and play structure. There are no guns nor ammunition in the home. There are no bodies of water observed.
CPR and First Aid expires on 10/18/2020. Records of immunization is on file. AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 12/28/2018. Fire Extinguisher was last serviced on 1/31/2019. Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were present and functional. Home conducts fire and disaster drill every month, last drill was conducted on 6/9/2019. Children's files were randomly reviewed and found complete. Home has current children's roster. LPA discussed the Safe Sleep Concept and the Effects of Lead Exposure. Licensee was reminded that it is her responsibility to know the regulations for Family Child Care Home which can be accessed on-line at www.ccld.ca.gov.
Licensee is not providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA observed licensee posted notice of site visit. FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY. |
