On February 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Sarah Davis, Director of the CCC and explained the purpose and nature of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Director toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. Eight children are present in the infant program at the time of the inspection. The CCC operates from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. The CCC is a combined center with a preschool program.

LPA reviewed the CCC's Center sign-in/sign-out sheet and observed the documentation to be appropriate. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current First Aid/CPR certificates which expires on January 20, 2021. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates which expires on February 2, 2021. LPA verified Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements.

Required licensing forms and documents are posted in the infant room. The ratio of staff (four) supervising the infants was appropriate. The classroom has age appropriate toys and furnishings as well as a changing table with a sink readily available. The classroom also has a carbon monoxide detector which was tested and found to be operable. LPA observed three cribs available for infant use. The CCC uses mats for older infants which do not use the cribs. Food and milk is stored in a refrigerator which is located in the CCC's secure kitchen. LPA reviewed a sampling of Individual Needs & Services plans. LPA also reviewed a sampling of feeding plans. Children bottles and food are properly labeled with the child's name and date. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children.

Director informed LPA the CCC does not have firearms or ammunition on site. Further, no bodies of water were observed.
