25 | On February 3, 2020, at 11:01 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elvin Baddley and GiGi Reyes conduct an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPAs met with Kylee Davis, Director of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of Director and Assistant Director Alexandra Stoddard, toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday. The CCC uses one classroom for care children (ages 4-5) and has a population of 25 children in care at the time of the inspection.
The classroom of the CCC were clean and organized. The classroom had age appropriate toys and furnishings available for children. The classroom has a carbon monoxide detector which was tested and found to be operable. The attached bathroom was safe and in sanitary operating condition. The attached kitchen were observed to be clean and free of litter. Disinfectants and cleaning solutions are stored on an elevated shelf in the kitchen's cabinet. The Director informed LPAs no medications are stored on site.
The CCC provides morning and afternoon snacks for the children. Children bring lunch from home and LPAs reviewed a posted menu on the bulletin board in the classroom. Additionally, the classroom has licensing required documents and forms posted in the same location. The CCC maintains an electronic Sign In/Out which was reviewed by the LPAs.
The CCC's outdoor playground areas, which is comprised of artificial grass, sand play areas and concrete sidewalks, is enclosed by chain linked fencing. The fence’s entry/exit gates are secured. LPAs observed age appropriate toys/play equipment in the play areas. The toys/play equipment are in suitable condition and free of sharp, loose or pointed objects. The play structures in the playground areas have adequate cushioning materials (i.e. sand) to absorb falls and an abundance of shade (i.e. tress, shade cover structures). No bodies of water were observed on site. There is available drinking water for children both inside the classroom and outside in the play area. Waste receptacles with tight fitting covers were observed throughout the center.
