25 | On August 2, 2022 at 10:25 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Frank Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with licensee Danielle Zemaitis and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home inside and out. There was 6 children in care and two (2) assistants provided care with the licensee.
Licensee provides care for children in the den, living room, one (1) restroom, and backyard for children. During the tour of the inspection, LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins accessible to children in care. Licensee stores medication and first-aid products in a top cabinet out of reach of children. LPA observed a 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted on the wall with a service date of 6/20/22. The home has working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Licensee is reminded to service or purchase a fire extinguisher annually. Licensee advised there are no firearms or live ammunition in the home. LPA observed age appropriate toys, books, and activities readily accessible to children in care. The backyard is enclosed with fence preventing children from leaving. LPA observed the backyard had enough shade with age appropriate toys and play structures readily accessible to children in care.
LPA reviewed a sampling of children and staff records. The children and staff records were found to be current and complete. Licensee's Pediatric CPR/First-Aid expires on 4/24/23. Licensee's Mandated Reporter expires on 9/11/22. LPA spoke with licensee about current Covid-19 requirements. Licensee is following current guidelines. Licensee was provided a Carbon monoxide resource.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
