LPA met with Licensee Jennifer Fischer and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There was three (3) children in care at the time of the inspection.
The facility has their own front door access for parents to pick-up and drop-off. The facility uses two (2) rooms, one (1) restroom, and the backyard for children in care. Licensee uses one (1) main room for care and another for sleeping. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins accessible to children in care. The room temperature was suitable for children in care. Licensee stores the disinfectants high on the shelf out of reach from the children. Each child has their own personal cubby to store their items. LPA observed the licensee has toys, blocks, activities, books and furniture readily accessible. A 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed mounted with at purchase date of 8/29/21. Licensee advised to ensure they service or purchase a new fire extinguisher annually. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were not tested during the inspection because the children was sleeping at the time. The backyard is enclosed with a concrete wall. The children play area is fenced off from the rest of the yard preventing children from having access. Licensee has age appropriate toys and play structures readily accessible for children in care when they are outside playing.
LPA reviewed a sampling of children and staff records. The children and staff records were found to be current and complete. Facility staff met the requirements for Mandated Reporter and CPR/First-Aid. The last fire drill was completed on June 3, 2022. Licensee is following current Covid guidelines. Licensee was provided a Carbon monoxide resource.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
