On 10/08/20, at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection of the above referenced Family Child Care Home (FCCH) for a change of capacity. LPA met with Jenna Penner, Licensee of the FCCH and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. Due to COVID-19 and the Department of Public Health's guidelines for social distancing, this inspection was conducted via the Face Time Application. Prior to the commencement of the tele-inspection, the LPA asked Pre screening questions. The Licensee's responses to the Pre screening questions suggest the facility is void of COVID exposures.

During this tele-inspection, the Licensee provided the LPA an interior and exterior tour of the FCCH. LPA observed the FCCH's interior and exterior to be free of hazardous materials and toxins which would pose a danger to the children in care. At the time of the inspection, the Licensee's biological child and spouse are present.

On 02/26/20, the Licensee submitted documentation for a FCCH change of capacity. The application process was delayed given halts in inspections during the pandemic by CCLD and the City of San Luis Obispo Fire Department. Further, the Licensee had difficulties securing a contractor to install the fire pull down in the FCCH given the pandemic. Consequently, a fire clearance was granted for the FCCH on 10/05/20.

The home meets Title 22 of Community Care Licensing requirements for a Large Family Child Care License effective today, 10/08/20.

There were no deficiencies cited at this time. LPA provided the Licensee the Notice of Site visit.

FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY
