25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Martina Jimenez and Melissa Stewart conducted a Change of Capacity visit and met with Licensee, Mary Gilbert The center was toured inside and outside. LPAs observed age appropriate toys, games, books, chairs, tables, cubbies, cribs, napping equipment, and games. The center is clean, organized and well equipped. LPAs observed 3 nap areas with 15 cribs total. Applicant will also be using nap mats. The outdoor play area is completely fenced, LPAs observed bikes, bike area, grass area, shade, picnic tables, and small play structure.
Applicant will not provide Incidental Medical Services. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee complete the Mandated Reporter Training per AB 1207 on January 10, 2019. Licensee is current with immunization requirement per SB 792. Licensee is current with CPR and First Aid which expires January 13, 2020. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector that meets statutory requirements.
The center was measured inside and outside. The center indoor space is sufficient for 40 children. The outdoor play area is sufficient for 73 children. There are 1 toilet and 6 portable toilets, for 45 children.
There are 3 sinks sufficient for 45 children. The fire clearance was granted on May 10, 2019, for 40 children.
Today, the center meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements for an Infant center.
LPAs reviewed the handout "A Child Care Provider's Guide to Safe Sleep." LPA provided a Handout for Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training provided on line at www.ccld.ca.gov. There were no deficiencies cites at this time. LPA observed licensee post the Notice of Site visit FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY. |
