25 | On 3/8/22, at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced One Year Required Inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). The LPA met with Cassandra Concha Rincon, Site Supervisor of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Site Supervisor toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC is on the grounds of First Presbyterian Church of San Luis Obispo and the CCC utilizes two rooms along with an enclosed outdoor play area. The CCC operates from 7:30 AM -4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. At the time of the inspection, five children are present, along with two teachers proving care and supervision.
The CCC is clean, organized and orderly. LPA observed age appropriate toys and furnishings throughout the CCC. LPA also observed a carbon monoxide detector which was tested at 11:05 AM and found to be operable. The CCC's bathroom is in safe and sanitary operating condition. The CCC has an operable refrigerator in the CCC's office which contain food items for children. Additionally, the CCC has a refrigerator in the church kitchen which is shared. LPA notes the CCC provides snacks and lunches for children in care. Water is provided for children in care inside of the facility and outside of the facility. LPA observed a facility menu posted on the CCC's wall. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and shapes are secured in a locked cabinet in the diaper room. Medication in the facility is stored in the CCC's office which is inaccessible to children.
LPA observed licensing required notices on the wall of the CCC. LPA observed Sign In/Out forms upon arrival notes the forms contain the child's arrival and departure as well as the signature of the authorized representative/parent.
The CCC's outdoor play area is enclosed black wrought iron fencing. Entry/exit gates are secured. LPA observed a shed in the play area which were secure by lock and contained CCC supplies. LPA observed age appropriate toys/play equipment in the play areas. The toys/play equipment are free of sharp, loose or pointed objects. No bodies of water were observed on site. Play structure have adequate cushion to absorb for falls and shade in the area is created by overhead umbrellas. |
