Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Stewart conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection and met with owner/director, Ella Batson. This is a location change inspection for the combination preschool and infant center. Previous infant facility number 406203152. The infant indoor and outdoor activity areas were toured and measured.

LPA observed sign in and out sheet and parent board with all required documents posted at the main entrance of the center. The young infant room and older infant rooms are equipped with age appropriate toys and furnishings. The young infant nap room is equipped with 6 emergency evacuation cribs. The older infants will nap in their classroom on small cots. The girls restroom at the end of the hallway will be used for diaper changing and potty training. LPA observed that cleaning supplies and additional art supplies are stored in a locked closet in the hallway. There is a kitchen located in the hallway between the preschool room and infant rooms. Kitchen is made off limits to children by a sliding safety gate. This facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector in each classroom. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors via water jugs. Children bring their own sippy cups or water bottles. Director reported that there are no guns or ammunition in the center.

The infant outdoor activity area is located off of the church lobby. The activity area is completely fenced and there are no bodies of water. LPA observed age appropriate bikes, climbing structure with slide and covered patio area. Continued on 809-C
