25 | On 7/13/21, at 11:20 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted a unannounced Required Annual inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Ella Batson, Director of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Director, toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday thur Friday. The CCC is a combination preschool infant center. There are five infant present during the time of the inspection along with two teachers providing supervision.
The CCC uses two room (activity and sleep room) for child care services. The CCC was free of toxins and hazardous items. LPA observed six cribs available for use as well as age appropriate toys and furnishings in the CCC. LPA observed licensing required documents and forms posted on the wall of the CCC's main play room. Liquids and food are stored in a refrigerator in the CCC's kitchen and room refrigerator. Bottles and food are labeled with child's name and date.
The outdoor activity area contains age appropriate toys and equipment. The area has ample shade in the form of the building covering. Director informed LPA additional shade covering can be provided in the form of patio umbrellas if need be. The area is enclosed by chain linked fencing and has foam cushioning at the base of the play structures.
LPA reviewed Individual needs, service and feeding plans. LPA also reviewed sleep logs and plans which are current. LPA reviewed staff records. Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates. Teachers present also have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements.
The Director informed the LPA no firearms or ammunition is stored on site. Further, LPA observed no bodies of water on site.
LPA reviewed CCC sign-in/sign-out forms which were completed correctly. LPA observed a carbon monoxide
