NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On February 3, 2020, 9:00 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Elvin Baddley and GiGi Reyes made an announced pre-licensing inspection to the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPAs met with Kylee Davis, the applicant and the Director of the CCC. The Director informed LPAs the CCC’s hours of operation will be set from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday- Friday. At the time of the inspection there were no children on site. LPAs toured and measured the interior and exterior of the CCC in the company of the Director and Assistant Alexandra Stoddard. The CCC has a single building divided into two classrooms. Each classroom has an attached bathroom with two toilets and one sinks. Additional sinks are located outside of the bathroom. In total, the CCC has four toilets and five sinks accessible to children. The children will have access to bottled drinking water in the classroom and a drinking fountain outside of the classroom. Additionally, LPAs observed an operable carbon monoxide detectors in each classroom. Age appropriate toys, books, equipment and furnishings were observed in the CCC’s classroom. LPAs observed a bulletin board near the entry/exit of the classroom which displayed required licensing forms and documents Likewise, the CCC has an I-Pad for electronic Sign In/Outs near the CCC's entry/exit. The CCC has a process to access the Sign/Outs should power be lost or interrupted. The center will provide morning and afternoon snacks to the children, while guardians/caregivers are responsible the child’s lunch. The LPAs reviewed the CCC’s menus which were posted on the bulletin board. CONT-809-C

The outdoor play area, comprised of artificial grass, sand play areas and concrete sidewalks is enclosed by chained linked fencing. The area has shade which is created by trees and coverings. The play structures have adequate cushioning material in the form of sand at the base. LPAs observed age appropriate equipment/toys in the area which are in satisfactory conditions. Chained linked fencing encompasses the outdoor play areas. The fence’s access/exit gates are secured. No bodies of water or hazards were observed by LPAs. Directed informed LPAs no firearms or weapons are on site. Control of property was reviewed by LPAs.

Director is current with CPR and First Aid which expires on February 2, 2021. The Director is in need of additional Preventive Health Training. The Director's Mandated Reporter certificate was reviewed and a completion date of November 29, 2018 is noted. The Fire clearance for the CCC was granted on January 28, 2020, for a capacity of 45 children.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
