On 7/14/21, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Required Inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Kylee Jacobson Director of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. Assistant Director Alexandra Stoddard is also present. The LPA, in the company of the Director and Assistant Director toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC operates from 7:30 AM to 530 PM, Monday - Friday. One Building/classroom (Building 4/"Pre-K Room") and two neighboring play yards are used for care. LPA observed 33 children on site along with 4 teachers providing supervision.

The classroom of the CCC is clean and organized. The classroom has age appropriate toys and furnishings available for children. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector in the classroom which was tested and found to be operable. The restrooms, two in total, were in safe and sanitary operating condition. The CCC has a refrigerator to store food and beverages when need be. Disinfectants and cleaning solutions are stored in an elevated cabinet in classroom which is secure and beyond the reach of children in care. The Director informed LPA no medication is on site, however when medication is present, the Director stated the medication is placed in an elevated cabinet in the classroom which is inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed sharps in the classroom secure in an elevated cabinet which is inaccessible to children in care.

The center’s outdoor activity areas is comprised of an artificial grass lawn, a sand play area and concrete sidewalks. The areas are enclosed by a chain linked fencing. The fence’s entry/exit gates are secured. The LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment in the play areas. The toys and play equipment are in suitable condition and free of sharp, loose or pointed objects. The play structures in the activity areas have adequate cushioning materials to absorb falls. LPA also observed the areas have an abundance of shade (i.e. shade sails). No bodies of water were observed on site. There is available drinking water (water fountains) for children both inside the classroom and outside in the play areas. Waste receptacles with tight fitting covers were observed throughout the center.
