LPA reviewed the children's records during the inspection. All required forms were in the children’s file. The program uses an electronic app, for authorized individuals to sign their children in and out. Children are welcome to bring their own lunch, or the facility will provide lunch from a catering company.
A review of the facility's records revealed that the names, addresses, and phone numbers of each child's authorized representative are kept on file. A review of staff records revealed that some staff members have current CPR and First Aid certifications.
According to the Director, the Center simulates fire and earthquake drills monthly.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPAs encouraged the Director to frequently visit the Licensing website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. Licensee can also email at childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov and ask to be added to the email list for the updates.
